Farming tradition with a sustainable outlook

OUR LAND

What makes an oil good does not fit on a label. It fits in a field.

Our farm covers 40 hectares of olive trees, spread across several plots in the municipality of Seròs, in the Segrià (Lleida).  We are in an area of continental Mediterranean climate, with cold winters and very hot summers. These conditions, together with the terrain and the soil, encourage olives with a high content of phenolic and aromatic compounds.

We use sustainable farming techniques, such as establishing and maintaining a spontaneous cover crop, to improve soil structure, reduce erosion and encourage functional biodiversity. That grass acts as a natural ally: it encourages beneficial insects and balances the ecosystem of our groves.

We work with several olive varieties: the classic arbequina, well suited to our territory; the lecciana, which brings resilience and yield; the taggiasca, Italian in origin and known for its organoleptic quality; the koroneiki, highly productive with a high oil yield; and the picual, among others. We harvest at the optimum point of ripeness, using careful methods that minimise damage to the fruit. This lets us obtain high-quality oils with a rich, balanced organoleptic profile, a faithful reflection of our surroundings and of the way we farm.
